661-323-4000 tel Matthew C. Clark was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota and raised in Bakersfield. He joined CHAIN | COHN | STILES in 2006 where he concentrates in personal injury, civil litigation and administrative law.

He had previously spent six years working as a litigation attorney in Bakersfield. If you ask Matt why he likes being a lawyer he will say, "I enjoy serving my clients. I feel like I can make a difference in the lives of people who otherwise would have no voice." A Garces High School alumnus, Matt graduated cum laude in 1997 with a B.A. in Film and Television Production from Loyola Marymount University. He was admitted to the California Bar in 2001 after graduating with a Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He was a member of the McGeorge Mock Trial Honors Team. Matt believes in giving back to the community. He helped coach the Stockdale High School mock trial team from 2001 to 2005. He also served on the Teen Court of Kern County from 2002 to 2004. He is a member of the 2006-2007 class of Leadership Bakersfield. Presently, he serves on the board of directors for Clinica Sierra Vista Matt's wife, Molly, works in real estate. Together, they chase after their 3 year-old son Harrison. In his spare time, Matt is an avid bicyclist and enjoys spending time with his family.
