Joe Jimenez: Director – Group Law

A 1985 graduate from East Bakersfield High School, Joe continued his studies at Bakersfield College and California State University Bakersfield and holds a degree in Business. Joe is currently the Chairman of the Board for the Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and serves on the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce as a Regional Director for Central California. Additionally, Joe sits on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kern County and is on the East Bakersfield High School Advisory Council. Joe is also a Past Active of the Active 20-30 Men's Club and served on their Executive Board as 2nd Vice President and Sergeant of Arms. He is also a 2007 Leadership Bakersfield graduate.

As a previous business owner, Joe served as Vice President and General Manager of two local businesses; Rand Employment Solutions and Bakersfield Brigade Premier Development League (PDL) Soccer Club. From 2001 to 2004, Joe worked for the Bakersfield Californian newspaper as a Marketing Specialist for Regional/Major Accounts. And prior to working for the Californian, Joe worked in management for Longs Drug Stores for over 16 years, with 4 of those years in the Marketing department at their Corporate Office in Walnut Creek, CA.

Joe's wife, Carey, is the controller for DirectBuy of Bakersfield. They have 5 children, Annastacia, Dominic, Meagan, Isabella and Robert. Annastacia, the eldest, graduated from Claremont McKenna College in May of 2008. During soccer season, you can find Joe out at the Kern County Soccer Park on the weekends coaching and helping out where needed. Joe enjoys playing golf when there is time and enjoys getting together with family and friends for weekend BBQs!
