Hagan has worked as an attorney locally since 2003, most recently at Hagan Dennison, providing litigation services for insurance companies, public entities, and private businesses with a focus on personal injury, insurance defense, public entity liability, and employment litigation. At Chain | Cohn | Clark, he brings with him a deep knowledge of these issue for the benefit of injured people in Kern County. Chris is known for taking clients’ concerns as a priority, while keeping them informed and being responsive to their needs.

“For nearly 90 years, many of Bakersfield’s most celebrated attorneys have worked at Chain-Younger, then Chain | Cohn | Stiles, and now Chain | Cohn | Clark. Chris Hagan continues that tradition,” said Matt Clark, senior partner at Chain | Cohn | Clark. “As a seasoned litigation attorney, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the firm. We are excited to welcome Chris, and we are certain he will help us continue our mission as Kern County’s leading accident and injury law firm.”

He’s earned an AVVO rating of 10/10 as well as a Martindale-Hubbell AV preeminent rating, the highest ratings awarded by each of the legal directories.

“For the past 20 years, I have defended more personal injury claims against the attorneys at Chain | Cohn | Clark than I can remember.  Over that time, we came to develop a mutual respect and trust for one another, which is not something that I can say about other certain attorneys that I have dealt with,” said Hagan. “I was humbled when David and Matt offered me the opportunity to join their team. I look forward to using the skills that I have developed to help injury victims and their families obtain just results from insurance companies who don’t care about anything other than their bottom line.”

Chris is dedicated to community service. He is past president of the Kern County Bar Association and past director of its Charitable Foundation, has served on the board of directors for Boy Scouts of America, and serves on the board for Bakersfield Youth Lacrosse League. He is a graduate of California State University, Stanislaus, and the McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific.

Chris is happily married to local attorney Kristin Hagan, and they have two children together. When he’s not working, Chris enjoys golf, hunting, coaching youth sports, and taking trips with his family.
